Live/Work Audio Facility
A: House of Sound is a small radio production company run by US broadcaster Vicki Barker, who divides her time between this facility, the CBS London bureau and the BBC. You'll be staying in a self-contained bedroom which has its own digital television, small desk and plenty of electrical outlets (step-down transformers for US equipment available on request). The bedroom is as secure as any room in a comparable hotel/B&B: you'll be given a key. The sitting room/feed facility and kitchenette/dining room are in the common area of the production company. It is possible -- although unlikely -- that Vicki or a colleague may be using the space for part or all of the time you are there. The space is also quite beautiful: when the cabinet doors hiding the technology are closed, you could be in an 1850's London flat!
